Continuing Education
We Take Education Seriously
Graduating from dental school and passing the state boards means that a dentist had passed the minimum standards to practice dentistry in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Dentists are required to take 15 hours of continuing dental education every year, presumably to keep the dentist up to date in the field of dentistry. Sometimes a dentist can simply read a dental article and answer some written questions and be eligible for continuing education credits. Advancements in dentistry occur almost daily. For example, new dental adhesives for restorations are frequently updated. If a dentist wants to keep up with the latest advancements in dentistry, they need to take additional hours of continuing education.
Dr. Carol Morgan strives to keep up with the latest advancements in dentistry and therefore, takes in excess of 150 hours of continuing education. She makes it a point to seek live lectures and hands-on clinical course where the learning environment is interactive and the dentistry is conducted on live patients.
